A US seller pays a US$0.20 listing fee, a 6.5% transaction fee on the item price plus shipping and gift wrap, and a payment processing fee of 3% + US$0.25 per order. On a US$100 sale with free shipping that is US$9.95 — about 10% before other costs. For non-USD payment accounts, Etsy converts the listing fee at its market rate; the calculator asks you to enter that rate.
Yes. Etsy applies the transaction fee to the item price plus whatever you charge the buyer for shipping and gift wrap. A $25 item with $5 shipping is fee-calculated on $30, not $25.
The transaction fee (6.5%) is Etsy’s commission on every sale. The payment processing fee covers Etsy Payments processing and varies by your bank account location — 3% + $0.25 in the US, 4% + £0.20 in the UK, 4% + €0.30 in most of the EU. You pay both on every sale.
For an order Etsy attributes to an Offsite Ad, the fee is 15% for shops below US$10,000 in Etsy sales over the prior 365 days (if opted in), or 12% at/above that threshold (participation required). The cap is US$100 per attributed order, converted to the payment-account currency at Etsy's rate.
Listing renewals at $0.20, a 2.5% currency conversion fee when your listing currency differs from your payout currency, optional Etsy Ads budgets, and a one-time setup fee for new shops in some regions. Some countries also add a regulatory operating fee of up to 1.97%.
